Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our daycare team in a permanent position.
The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and takes pride in creating a warm, engaging, and supportive learning environment. We are looking for an educator with excellent interpersonal skills who is dependable, takes initiative, works independently when needed, and also contributes positively as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences for children
- Create a safe, nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children and families
- Collaborate effectively with fellow educators and management
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with children, families, and team members
- Observe children's development and maintain accurate records and documentation
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Demonstrate initiative in daily classroom routines and responsibilities
- Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming classroom environment
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
- Follow daycare policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Must be able to speak French and English
- Alberta Child Care Staff Certification – Level 2 or Level 3
- Previous experience working in a daycare or childcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, and professional
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Demonstrates initiative and good judgment
- Genuine interest in working with and supporting young children
- Recent Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate

Pay: $43,000.00-$61,000.00 per year
