Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Grader Operator/Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as grader, Dozer, loaders, backhoe, skidsteer etc. to support various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy machinery, mechanical systems, and oilfield site safety. The successful applicant will contribute to the efficient and safe execution of grading essential for infrastructure development and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Operate grader with precision to level and grade surfaces according to project specifications.
- Utilize equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes an asset.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Assist in operations by preparing surfaces and supporting gravel trucks.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to minimize hazards on-site.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate repairs needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including graders, bulldozers (Caterpillar preferred), excavators, loaders, backhoes.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid class 1 license is an asset.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, and hazard identification.
- Prior experience in oilfield or related industries is highly desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads when necessary. Pay: $28.00-$36.00 per hour
