Position Summary
At Hollyburn Country Club, we are committed to providing an exceptional wellness experience that supports our members in living healthy, active, and balanced lives. As a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based massage therapy services within a welcoming and professional private club environment.
Beyond delivering clinical care, you will build trusted relationships with members through personalized treatment and exceptional service. Working collaboratively with the Athletics and Wellness teams, you will support members of all ages and activity levels, from recreational participants to high-performance athletes, with a focus on injury prevention, rehabilitation, recovery, and overall well-being
Position Responsibilities
Member Care & Clinical Practice
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each member's health history, goals, and treatment needs.
- Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans using evidence-based massage therapy techniques.
- Provide therapeutic massage services to support injury rehabilitation, pain management, athletic performance, recovery, stress reduction, and overall wellness.
- Monitor member progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Educate members on self-management strategies, including stretching, mobility, strengthening, posture, and recovery techniques.
Member Experience
- Deliver a warm, professional, and personalized experience that exceeds member expectations.
- Build long-term relationships through exceptional service, professionalism, and trust.
- Maintain member confidentiality while providing compassionate and respectful care.
- Create a welcoming treatment environment that reflects Hollyburn's high standards of hospitality and professionalism.
- Ensure the treatment room is welcoming, comfortable, and professionally presented.
- Respond to member inquiries and appointment requests in a timely and professional manner.
Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with Hollyburn's Athletics and Wellness teams to support members' overall health and performance.
- Develop positive working relationships with coaches, trainers, and other health professionals when appropriate and with member consent.
- Support club wellness initiatives, educational opportunities, and member events where appropriate.
Operations & Professional Standards
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely treatment records in accordance with CCHPBC standards.
- Ensure treatment rooms remain clean, organized, safe, and professionally presented.
- Manage appointment scheduling, member communication, and follow-up as required.
- Maintain treatment supplies and notify the Club when inventory requires replenishment.
- Maintain all required professional registrations, certifications, and liability insurance.
- Stay current with industry best practices through continuing education and professional development.
- Adhere to all Hollyburn Country Club policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia (CCHPBC).
- Current professional liability insurance.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Demonstrated experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
- Experience working with active individuals and athletes is considered an asset.
- Experience working within a private club or hospitality environment is considered an asset.
- Experience using Jane App and GameTime software is considered an asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Availability:
Ability to provide massage therapy services two to four days per week, including some evening and weekend availability based on member demand.

Contractor Expectations:
- Maintain active registration with CCHPBC.
- Maintain professional liability insurance throughout the contract term.
- Operate in accordance with all professional and regulatory standards.
- Maintain professional records and documentation as required by CCHPBC.
- Work collaboratively within Hollyburn Country Club while operating as an independent contractor.
What we provide:
Towels, linens, laundry service, massage oils/lotions, Wi-Fi, online booking platform, reception, marketing (newsletters, social media, in-house e-magazine), 3 private therapy rooms for massage in our Wellness Centre, electric adjustable tables, flexible work schedule
Working Conditions
- This position operates 100% on-site
- Regular evenings will be required
- Own transportation is an asset as public transportation is not frequent to/from the Club
- Candidates must obtain a Police Information Check with a vulnerable sector search as part of the onboarding process.
