Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with additional experience in heavy equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Candidates with dealership experience and proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and schematics are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical components, and HVAC systems
- Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Conduct repairs on industrial equipment including Caterpillar machinery and other heavy-duty vehicles
- Weld components as needed to restore or modify parts
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and estimated completion times
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive repair processes
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or part replacements
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients
- Experience with vehicle assembly or industrial equipment assembly is a plus
- Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical problems

Pay: $23.00-$46.00 per hour
