KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for inventory management of Georgetown plant and external warehouse; and inventory accuracy in ERP system
- Manage daily close of production travelers
- Make required inventory adjustments ad-hoc and at month end to ensure accurate accounting and costing
- Lead creation of new items including bill of materials, scrap and other assumptions, etc.
- Provide analyses on inventory including but not limited to scrap, efficiency, etc.
- Leading monthly cycle counts and annual inventory count
- Responsible for inventory month-end close process, rolling inventory costs forward
- Create, analyze and provide inventory and costing reports,
- Implement policies, objectives and initiatives related to inventory management,
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices,
- Analysis and reporting of inventory turns and make recommendations to procurement to support cost and obsolescence control; Initiate improvements to inventory levels and turns
- Conduct regular review of obsolete inventory and make appropriate recommendations,
- Assist with bill of material maintenance
- Assist in creating sales quotes for sales team to support new business
- All other duties as required.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment in a costing or inventory control related function is an asset
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel
- Strong previous experience working with an ERP system, Dynamics / Navision would be an asset
- Excellent organization, problem solving, communication (oral and written) skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION/ TRAINING:
- Post Secondary education in Accounting or a related field would be a strong asset
- Understanding of basic accounting and manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of costing and inventory control principles
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB:
- Plant/ Office Environment
- No significant material handling will be required, but regular visits to the plant floor and some product counting may be necessary.
- Driver’s License, or ability to travel to secondary inventory locations within the GTHA
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
