Position
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including issuing invoices, following up on collections, and reconciling customer accounts.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP), including reviewing vendor invoices, processing payments, and reconciling supplier statements.
- Perform daily accounting and treasury functions, including bank reconciliations and preparing bank reconciliation statements to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Conduct periodic bank reconciliations and reconcile various balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving outstanding discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Enter accounting data accurately and maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end closing and the preparation of basic financial reports.
- Maintain effective communication with internal departments, customers, and vendors.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of Canadian Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience (required).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and standard accounting procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; QuickBooks experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a high level of accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Language: English, Chinese (Preferred)
