Music City Canada is seeking a highly knowledgeable and passionate Drum Department Sales Specialist to help lead and grow our drum and percussion category.
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes drums—someone who understands not only the products, but also the history, technology, and culture surrounding drums and percussion. If you love helping drummers find the perfect gear and enjoy sharing your expertise with others, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Assist customers in-store and online with drum and percussion purchases
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build long-term customer relationships
- Provide expert product recommendations based on customer needs and budgets
- Create educational and promotional social media content
- Appear in product videos, demonstrations, and online content
- Maintain and merchandise the drum department
- Stay current on industry trends, new product releases, and drum technology
- Work closely with management and fellow team members to grow department sales
- Contribute creative ideas for events, promotions, and customer engagement
Required Knowledge & Experience
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge in:
- Acoustic drum kits
- Electronic drum kits
- Snare drums
- Cymbals
- Hardware and accessories
- Hand percussion instruments
- Drum tuning and setup
- Recording drums in studio environments
- Live performance drum applications
- Major drum and cymbal manufacturers
- The history and evolution of drum products and brands
