Position Summary
The Quality Inspector ensures that incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity by identifying defects, verifying specifications, and supporting continuous quality improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities (The Impact You’ll Drive)
- Inspect incoming materials and components to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure assembly accuracy, proper component placement, and adherence to quality checkpoints.
- Perform final product inspections prior to packaging or shipment, verifying appearance, dimensions, and functionality.
- Identify and document defects such as scratches, cracks, delamination, dimensional issues, and assembly defects.
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation, including inspection reports and quality logs.
- Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for materials or products that do not meet required standards.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and templates to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and support corrective actions.
- Follow company quality procedures, safety guidelines, and manufacturing standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality investigations to prevent defects and improve processes.
