At Gandy Installations, we are looking for a leader to help grow and scale our electrical division.
This is not a role for someone looking to simply manage the day-to-day and punch a clock. We are looking for someone who wants to build a department, mentor people, improve systems, drive profitability, and help lead a growing company forward.
You will oversee a team handling residential, commercial and industrial electrical services and installations, as well as electrical support for our HVAC installations, including heat pumps, air conditioning systems, and electric tank replacements.
You’ll work closely with our leadership team, office staff, HVAC department, dispatch, and technicians to help create a stronger, more scalable electrical department built around accountability, teamwork, customer experience, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the electrical department
- Support and mentor apprentices, journeymen, and developing team members
- Help recruit, hire, and onboard future electricians
- Improve department organization, systems, communication, and accountability
- Work closely with dispatch and administration to improve scheduling and workflow efficiency
- Support HVAC installations requiring electrical work
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and average ticket performance
- Help reduce callbacks and improve overall customer experience
- Track and approve department purchases, quotes, and invoices
- Ensure jobs are being quoted, managed, and completed efficiently and profitably
- Assist with technical problem solving and high-level job support when required
- Participate in leadership meetings and collaborate with other departments
- Build a department that can continue to scale with company growth
What We’re Looking For
- Strong residential electrical experience
- Leadership experience is preferred, but we are open to high-level electricians ready to step into management
- FSR certification is an asset
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lead people while holding clear standards and accountability
- Someone who can coach, mentor, and develop others
- Comfortable working collaboratively across departments
- Process-minded with a desire to improve systems and efficiency
- Professional, dependable, and solutions-oriented
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
