We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Estimator to support sales efforts for custom engineered and fabricated heavy equipment machinery solutions for the resources sector worldwide. This role involves collaborating with sales and engineering teams to prepare accurate project estimates, develop technical proposals, and assist in client presentations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analysis skills, strong technical knowledge of custom fabricated machinery solutions for the resources sector, and experience in pre-sales activities. Duties
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to develop comprehensive project estimates for custom engineered solutions.
- Review RFQ, technical drawings, and prepare 3D sales models
- Conduct technical analysis to determine project requirements, resource needs, and feasibility.
- Prepare detailed 3D models of custom client focused solutions and presentations to showcase solutions to clients worldwide. SolidWorks experience essential.
- Support pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise during client meetings, and proposals.
- Attend client meetings, pre-bid meetings, and site visits as required.
- Assist in creating and reviewing project documentation, including specifications and scope of work.
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with cross-functional teams using project management tools.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes and identifying areas for process enhancement.
- Occasional travel maybe required both domestically and internationaly.
Qualifications
- Proven minimum of 3 years experience estimating / sales support or strong familiarity heavy equipment industrial manufacturing and fabrication of custom solutions used in the resources sector.
- Demonstrated ability in technical sales or pre-sales support roles within custom engineering environments, manufacturing, fabrication, heavy industrial equipment is preferred.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical data and develop accurate estimates.
- Excellent communication skills for delivering product demos and engaging with clients effectively.
- Experience in project management methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- A degree in Engineering, Business or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if complemented by relevant experience. This position provides an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about technology-driven solutions and client engagement within a supportive team environment.
