Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator/Coordinator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in preparing accurate project bids, analyzing costs, and supporting project management efforts. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing your expertise in estimating and negotiation to contribute to the successful delivery of projects. The Project Estimator will collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to develop competitive and precise cost proposals.
Duties
- Prepare detailed construction estimates using industry-standard tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and required resources.
- Develop accurate pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to negotiate terms and finalize project budgets.
- Assist in the review of project proposals and assist in bid submissions.
- Support project management team with cost tracking, change order pricing, and risk assessment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bid documents, and related correspondence for future reference.
- Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive bidding.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and other estimating or project management software.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of construction pricing strategies, labor productivity, and material costs.
- Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Effective project management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred but not mandatory. This role is vital for ensuring our projects are competitively priced while maintaining quality standards. Pay: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
