About Us MPG Truck & Trailer Repair is a busy heavy-duty commercial repair shop serving fleet and owner-operator customers across the GTA. We're growing and looking to add a reliable mechanic to our team.
Position Summary We're hiring a Truck Mechanic to handle preventive maintenance and routine repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This role is focused on keeping our fleet customers' equipment safe and on the road — oil changes, inspections, and regular servicing. A great fit for someone dependable who takes pride in solid, consistent work.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil and filter changes on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) services
- Carry out routine repairs: brakes, tires, lights, fluids, belts, and hoses
- Conduct basic safety and DOT/CVOR inspections
- Identify and report additional repair needs to the supervisor
- Keep accurate service records and maintain a clean, organized bay
- Follow shop safety procedures
Requirements
- Experience with heavy-duty truck and/or trailer maintenance (preferred)
- Comfortable performing oil changes and routine PM work independently
- Basic knowledge of brake, tire, and electrical systems
- Own basic hand tools (an asset) not required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
