Overview
We are seeking a skilled Certified Utility Arborist to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for operating bucket trucks to perform various tasks, with main focus on BC hydro contracts. A CUA ticket is needed but will consider a skilled Apprentice. This position would be mainly in the northwest area with main focus in Smithers, Terrace and Haida Gwaii. We are prime contractor with BC hydro for part of the northwest and have steady year round work.
Responsibilities
- Operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently to perform aerial tasks such as tree trimming and hazard trees
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and any potential issues.
Experience
- Proven experience operating bucket trucks
- 1-5 years bucket or climbing experience
- Knowledgeable with ropes and rigging
Pay Rate
Pay is based on experience, tickets and work ethic. Willing to pay above going rate for right candidate
