The Development Coordinator is responsible for understanding the learning and development needs of the organization in support of the credit union’s strategic objectives. The Development Coordinator is responsible to conduct training and accurately register, record and track the learning and development initiatives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Facilitate training programs.
Support and contribute to the overall on boarding process, providing a comprehensive orientation for new employees to the credit union.
Ensure mandatory courses are assigned and completed annually.
Credit Union Administrator for TLC and CCUA Campus.
Update and maintain user documentation related to training.
Communicate and coordinate learning and development opportunities to employees and managers.
Provide support and advice to employees on career development and training opportunities.
Interpret, assist and advise employees and managers regarding training and P&C procedures and policies.
Manage sensitive and confidential matters and protect the security of information, data, and files.
Support the achievement of department and organizational goals as well as actively participate in regular staff meetings.
Maintain open communication and cooperation with other staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment.
Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve organizational objectives.
Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to credit union policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security and fraud prevention.

Essential Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration, or equivalent
Program Development for Adult Learners (PDAL) is considered an asset
Ability to effectively train and facilitate a variety of industry topics to a diverse audience
Comfortable presenting in a virtual learning environment
Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure
Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions
Knowledge of Access Credit Union’s products and services
Knowledge of risk management within the financial industry
Proficient computer skills
