Seeds and Sprouts Early Learning Centre is currently hiring enthusiastic Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 Early Childhood Educators to join our Out of School Care (OSC) team. We have both part-time and full-time positions available.
This is an excellent opportunity for post-secondary students studying Education, Early Learning, Child and Youth Care, Psychology, or related fields who are looking to gain valuable hands-on experience while working in a fun and supportive environment.
At Seeds and Sprouts, we believe children learn best through child-led, play-based experiences. We are looking for educators who enjoy building meaningful relationships with school-age children and creating engaging activities that encourage creativity, independence, and exploration.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage school-age children in a safe and positive environment.
- Plan and facilitate child-led activities based on children's interests.
- Encourage creativity, problem-solving, outdoor play, and social development.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
- Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and centre policies.
Qualifications:
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification (Level 1, 2, or 3) is an asset (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working with school-age children is an asset.
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR (Level C).
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- A passion for working with children in a child-led learning environment.
