Ronald McDonald House Manitoba provides essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. Our programs include Ronald McDonald House, which provides accommodation for out-of-town families, and Ronald McDonald Family Room, a place of respite for both Winnipeg and rural Manitoba families inside HSC Children’s Hospital.
Ronald McDonald House Manitoba is currently inviting applications for a full-time Programming Supervisor at our Ronald McDonald House located at 62 Juno Street. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Reporting to the Volunteer & Programming Manager, the Programming Supervisor ensures that Ronald McDonald House Manitoba’s meal program meets all standards of health, safety, and sanitation. The Programming Supervisor also oversees the Home for Dinner and Home Sweet Home programs, assists with ordering products for the meal program, fosters positive relationships with current and new donors, and maintains exceptional records of data, contact information, and other pertinent details. The successful applicant must be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The candidate must exude a caring, professional, and positive attitude and be a team player willing to help wherever needed.
Successful candidates must provide a current (less than 6-months) and satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and clear Child Abuse Registry Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. General Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate record keeping of meal program components (Home for Dinner, meal counts, Grab n’ Go, Family Freezer)
- Communicate relevant meal program news to the Volunteer & Programming Manager or other staff as needed
- Provide necessary meal program reporting numbers for board reports, grants, marketing or donor purposes, or as needed
- Update and maintain written guidelines for Ronald McDonald House Manitoba’s Meal Program
- Strengthen, grow, and create in-kind donor partnerships to support Ronald McDonald House Manitoba’s meal program
- Manage Wish List to ensure most needed items are included
- Work with MarCom team on community outreach for Home for Dinner, Home Sweet Home, wish list, etc. as needed
- Welcome and orient groups in partnership with the Development team as they arrive for Home for Dinner and Home Sweet Home engagements before passing them off to the Meal Programming Coordinator.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-year experience in administration related field
- Respect and understand the importance of food safety compliance
- Ability to multi-task and strong time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication with excellent customer service skills, computer skills, and data entry knowledge
- Excellent data entry skills and proficiency with Microsoft suite
- Strong customer relations skills with the ability to welcome and engage groups into the program
- Ability to engage new in-kind partners to foster growth in meal programming donations and to steward current donors
- Calm and caring manner with a desire to serve others
- Strong budget and inventory management skills
- Applicants should be compassionate and kind with interest in supporting Ronald McDonald House Manitoba
- Asset: Experience with Food Program delivery
Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000
