We're currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at our New Haven Shop (15418 Trans-Canada Hwy).
What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using computerized diagnostic equipment and your own expertise.
- Repairing and maintaining heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.
- Performing preventative maintenance, servicing, and inspections.
- Replacing and repairing defective components.
- Working on diesel engines and heavy truck systems.
- Servicing attachments, tools, and equipment accessories.
- Conducting equipment inspections and test drives to ensure repairs are completed properly.
- Keeping accurate repair documentation and work orders.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Supporting our strong safety culture and helping identify opportunities for improvement.
- Tackling whatever challenges the day throws your way.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment repair experience.
- Red Seal Certification is considered a strong asset.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
