The Role:
The Rough-in Foreman will oversee the rough-in phase of construction projects, ensuring the proper installation of all framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, drywall and other systems during the initial stages of construction. This role requires leadership skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of building codes and safety protocols.
In This Role, You Will:

Lead, manage, and coordinate the activities of all crews on construction sites to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Work closely with site supervisor, project managers, architects, and subcontractors to plan and schedule rough-in work to meet project timelines and milestones.

Conduct regular inspections of framing, rough-in installations, insulation and drywall to ensure compliance with building codes, plans, and specifications. Address any issues or discrepancies promptly.

Ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe operation of equipment, and maintaining a hazard-free work environment.

Provide guidance and mentorship to crew members, fostering skill development and a strong work ethic. Lead safety training sessions (as required) and ensure that the crew adheres to safety standards.

Keep accurate records of daily activities, materials used, work completed, and any incidents or issues that arise. Submit regular progress reports to Site Supervisor/project managers.

Oversee the ordering, delivery, and inventory management of materials necessary for all requested tasks to ensure project continuity and avoid delays.

Identify potential issues in design, installation, or scheduling and work collaboratively with the team to resolve them quickly and effectively.
What You Bring:

Minimum 5 years of construction experience with a focus on rough-in work; prior Foreman or Supervisor experience is preferred.

Strong knowledge of construction processes, rough-in systems, building codes, tools, equipment, and safety regulations, with a consistent commitment to applying safety standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with construction software such as NEWSTAR, Builder MT, or Mark Systems is considered an asset.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while adapting quickly to changing project needs, site conditions, and evolving plans.

Proven ability to manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and adjust workflows to ensure rough-in activities are completed on time and aligned with project timelines.

Excellent leadership, team-building, and organizational skills, with the ability to lead, delegate, motivate, and manage diverse teams of skilled tradespeople.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, and crew members.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail to identify issues early and implement practical solutions.

Ability to coordinate tasks and materials across multiple trades, mentor and develop crew members, and ensure adherence to best practices.

Familiarity with construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to support accurate system implementation; relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid/CPR) are preferred but not required.
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000
