Job Overview:
Railtown Café & Catering is seeking a dedicated and reliable Steward (dishwasher) / Kitchen Helper to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals committed to maintaining high-quality standards in cleanliness, organization and culinary interest within our catering kitchen. You’ll have the opportunity to grow within a fast-paced environment that values hard work and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate the dishwasher to clean and sanitize dishware and kitchen equipment.
· Maintain the cleanliness of the dish area, washrooms, and common areas.
· Assist with the daily cleaning and upkeep of kitchen areas.
· Dispose of waste and recycling following sanitation standards.
· Support kitchen staff by organizing and restocking cleaning supplies as needed.
· Support kitchen staff by helping kitchen prep as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience is valued but not required; on the job training will be provided.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and initiative.
- Strong organizational skills.
Schedule:
- Full-time: 32 to 40+ hours a week.
- Availability of a minimum of 4 weekdays is required.
- Availability from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM is required.
- Schedule may change based on needs of the business.
- Must be flexible to work Monday to Sunday.
