Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Field Technician to join our team and provide on-site technical support for a variety of client locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer networking, hardware maintenance, and low voltage systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse environments, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to the seamless operation of our clients’ technology infrastructure. The position requires hands-on technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret schematics and work with hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and networking equipment at client sites
- Perform routine maintenance on systems to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently
- Use schematics and technical manuals to identify system components and wiring layouts
- Work with low voltage systems including security, alarm, or communication wiring
- Utilize hand tools for installation, repair, or maintenance tasks
- Conduct system testing and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Document service activities accurately and report technical issues to management
- Assist in training clients on system operation and best practices
Experience
- Proven experience in computer networking, hardware maintenance, or related field support roles
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools effectively
- Familiarity with reading schematics and working with low voltage wiring systems
- Hands-on experience with computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical systems and maintenance procedures
- Prior experience working in diverse environments such as commercial or industrial settings is preferred

Pay: $50.00-$65.00 per hour
