We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Cleaning Associate to join our team. In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors. You will be responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of office spaces, washrooms, lunchrooms, production areas, and common areas, helping ensure our facility reflects a professional image at all times.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine cleaning of offices, washrooms, lunchrooms, hallways, entrances, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces throughout the facility
- Empty garbage and recycling containers and dispose of waste appropriately
- Clean and restock washrooms with necessary supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of lunchrooms, meeting rooms, and employee areas
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, doors, and entryways as required
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when replenishment is needed
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal around entrances and walkways (if applicable)
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or facility concerns to management
- Follow company health, safety, and sanitation procedures
- Support special cleaning projects and other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience is an asset but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the team
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment, tools, and products
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices is an asset
