The Life of a Groundskeeper
- Responsible for working with the team to improve or maintain the health of the plants in the landscape and within the natural environment
- Participate in pruning, mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, pressure washing, fertilizing, raking, weeding, and tidying gardens and grounds
- Assist in the set up and take down for winery events/concert series
- Pruning, thinning and harvesting fruit trees
- Maintain the gardens of winery residences
- Perform other duties to maintain a clean and well-maintained landscaped environment and property in general
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience or a passion for horticulture
- Ability to use hand and mechanical tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Physically fit and capable of bending as well as lifting and carrying up to 22.7 kg (50 lbs)
- Working outdoors, in all weather conditions is required
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a team environment
- You listen, take feedback, respond quickly, and take initiative with a sense of urgency
- You are authentic, diplomatic, thoughtful, and always have the best intentions
Bonus Points:
- Certificate in horticulture considered an asset
- 1-2 years’ experience
