Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable Overhead Door Technician to join our team, we have a position in Nanaimo and Campbell River . We are willing to train the right candidate , this is a great opportunity to learn a very skilled sought after trade from very experienced leaders!
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair overhead doors, garage doors, rolling steel doors, dock equipment, and automatic operators.
- Diagnose issues with doors, openers, controls, and safety devices, providing effective repair solutions.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other equipment required for installations and repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory usage.
- Communicate with customers in a professional manner, explaining work performed and providing recommendations.
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in overhead/garage door installation and repair preferred (will consider training suitable candidates).
- Mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights using ladders or lifts.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
