Restaurant Assistant (Part-time)
Chicken Zip is a locally owned family-run restaurant in Parksville looking for a reliable and efficient part-time team member to join our small team.
This position is best suited for someone who enjoys staying busy, multitasking, and working in a fast-paced environment. Because we are a small team, we support each other across different areas of the restaurant throughout the shift.
Schedule
Core shift: 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM
2–4 shifts per week
Weekend availability preferred
Responsibilities
Customer service and order taking
Packing and organizing takeout orders
Basic food preparation and plating
Cleaning and maintaining work areas
Assisting with closing duties
Supporting both front counter and kitchen operations as needed
Requirements
Available for evening shifts (3:30 PM – 7:30 PM)
Able to multitask and work efficiently during busy periods
Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
Previous restaurant or fast-paced customer service experience preferred
