Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Food Preparation Worker to join our dynamic food service team. This role involves preparing ingredients, assisting with food assembly, and ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food industry standards, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and quality standards, including chopping, slicing, and portioning
- Assist in assembling menu items efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely food preparation during busy hours
- Support serving staff with timely delivery of orders when needed
- Uphold high standards of food handling safety and sanitation practices at all times
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages
- Engage with customers professionally, providing friendly service when interacting directly during meal pickups or inquiries
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation procedures is preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, measuring ingredients, and order accuracy
- Experience in cashiering, serving, or upselling menu items is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced setting
- Customer service experience that emphasizes professionalism and attentiveness
