Position Overview
We are seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on supporting veterinarians, assisting with patient care, helping with treatments and procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment.
This role is ideal for someone who is professional, reliable, comfortable in a fast-paced veterinary setting, and passionate about providing quality care to animals and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Veterinary Technician Duties:
Assist veterinarians during appointments, examinations, treatments, and procedures
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain dogs and cats
Support patient care, including basic treatments, monitoring, and general comfort
Prepare patients, treatment areas, and equipment for procedures
Assist with blood draws, sample collection, laboratory testing, and diagnostic preparation, based on experience and clinic protocols
Assist with radiographs, dental procedures, surgical preparation, and recovery monitoring, as directed
Administer medications and treatments under veterinary supervision, where appropriate
Monitor hospitalized or recovering patients and report any concerns to the veterinarian
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
Clean, disinfect, and maintain exam rooms, cages, equipment, and treatment areas
Restock supplies and help keep the clinic organized and efficient
Assist with laundry, instrument cleaning, and general clinic duties as needed
Client & Team Support Duties:
Communicate professionally with clients regarding basic patient care instructions, appointments, and follow-ups
Support the reception and veterinary team when needed
Help maintain a positive, respectful, and efficient clinic environment
Work closely with veterinarians, assistants, reception staff, and other team members
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic is preferred
Strong animal handling skills and comfort working with dogs and cats of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinic environment
Willingness to learn and take initiative
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow clinic protocols
Comfort assisting with treatments, procedures, diagnostics, and patient monitoring
Ability to work respectfully and efficiently as part of a team
Schedule & Availability
Full-time and part-time applicants may be considered
Must be available for a mix of opening and closing shifts
Some weekend availability may be required
Final schedule will be discussed during the interview process
