OVERVIEW:
As the Part-Time Overnight Security, you will be responsible for enforcing the safety, security policies and procedures of the property are adhered to. The Part-Time Overnight Security will be performing routine inspections and documenting it to ensure exceptional customer service and effective relationships with staff, clients, and patrons using the property are in place.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Security patrols of the hotel. Conduct routine patrol which would involve walking and standing for the majority of your shifts.
- Work in conjunction with Universal security in surrounding complexes.
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- De-escalate crisis situations, provide support, and liaise with emergency services including Police, Fire, and Paramedics.
- Provide response to fire alarms, intrusion alarms, medical emergencies, and criminal activities.
- Utilize two-way radios, cell phone and computer applications to communicate site activities.
- Enforcement of Criminal Code, Provincial Statutes, and company policies
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1 to 2 Years in a Security Role;
- Use of problem solving and analytical skills in day-to-day duties;
- First Aid Certification is an asset.
- Provide outstanding Customer Service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, and Excel);
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment, access control, and fire alarm systems;
- Attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of security practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Job involves working overnight shifts, typically from 10:00pm-6:30am
