Senior Die Designer / Design Lead
Our client, An Automotive Tooling manufacturer located in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a highly skilled Senior Die Designer / Die Design Leader. In this pivotal role, you will lead die design projects from concept to completion, ensuring technical excellence and providing critical support throughout the manufacturing process.
Core Responsibilities
- Die Design: Lead the design of progressive, transfer, and line dies.
- Customer Engagement: Act as a technical point of contact for customers during design reviews and follow-up meetings.
- Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical guidance to the machining, tryout, and build teams throughout the die manufacturing lifecycle.
- Process Layout: Develop comprehensive process layouts for part data.
- Surface Development: Develop trim lines, morph surfaces, and perform technical troubleshooting.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and complete documentation records for all die designs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 7–10 years of dedicated tool design experience.
- Software Proficiency: * ProE/Creo 7.0 (Required)
- NX (Asset)
- AutoForm (Asset)
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in 3D design and Solid Modelling.
- Industry Knowledge: A solid background in metal stamping is considered a significant asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
