Job Summary
we are seeking a reliable and organized ECE Level 3 ( Full time) professional with strong leadership and teamwork skills. The ideal candidate is confident leading a classroom, committed to providing high-quality care and education. Responsibilities include planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, supporting individual needs, and maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom routines and guide educators to ensure smooth, consistent program delivery.
- Demonstrate excellent punctuality by arriving on time and being fully prepared for each shift.
- Manage time effectively to ensure daily routines, activities, transitions, and responsibilities are completed efficiently.
- Multitask effectively while supervising children, supporting team members, and managing classroom needs.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities in a structured, engaging environment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized classroom in accordance with licensing standards.
- Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs through positive guidance.
- Monitor routines (meals, transitions, rest time, diapering, and outdoor play) while ensuring continuous supervision and safety.
- Communicate professionally with families and team members regarding children's progress, daily updates, and any concerns.
- Follow all licensing regulations, centre policies, and health and safety procedures while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
Skills
- Valid Alberta ECE Level 3 Certification (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Ability to confidently lead a classroom and make sound decisions.
- Strong supervision skills with the ability to actively supervise children at all times to ensure their safety.
- Ability to plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities.
- Good time management, organization, and multitasking skills in a busy childcare environment.
- Strong positive guidance and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate professionally with families and coworkers.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality care.
- Experience supporting children with diverse learning or developmental needs is an asset.
