Job Overview
The Family Place Facilitator plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for families and children within our community. This position involves organizing and leading family-focused activities, providing guidance, and fostering positive interactions among participants. The facilitator will work closely with families to promote healthy relationships, social skills, and community engagement, ensuring a safe and enriching experience for all involved.
Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate family-centered activities and programs that promote bonding, learning, and fun.
- Assist families in connecting with community resources and services as needed.
- Maintain a welcoming environment by greeting families and encouraging participation.
- Collaborate with team members to develop new program ideas that meet the needs of the community.
- Monitor activity areas to ensure safety protocols are followed and equipment is used properly.
- Keep records of attendance and participation for program evaluation purposes.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in educational, recreational, or community settings is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and community members.
- Ability to organize activities that are age-appropriate, inclusive, and engaging.
- Excellent communication skills to foster a positive environment for families.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $26.50-$28.08 per hour
