Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Body Repair Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves repairing, painting, and restoring truck bodies to ensure safety, durability, and a professional appearance. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive body repair, dent and rust treatment, painting, and proficiency with hand and power tools. This position offers a great opportunity for individuals with dealership experience or body shop/mechanic backgrounds to apply their skills in a dynamic, food-industry environment focused on quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Repair dents, dings, and body damage on trucks
- Identify and treat rust spots to prevent recurrence
- Sand, prime, and paint truck bodies to a professional finish
- Perform panel repairs and, where needed, minor welding or structural fixes (a plus, not required)
- Use hand and power tools to remove damaged sections and install/repair components
- Conduct inspections to identify damage or wear and recommend appropriate repair methods
- Assist with heavy lifting of truck parts or panels safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and industry standards during all repair activities
- Collaborate with team members to complete work on time and to quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in truck/vehicle body repair, including dent removal, rust treatment, and painting
- Dealership, body shop, or mechanic background preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to truck bodies and vehicle systems
- Experience with hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers) and power tools used in body repair
- Welding experience a plus, not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Own tools/equipment preferred
Schedule
Part-time, a few days per week (flexible, to be discussed)
Pay
Hourly rate, based on experience
Pay: $18.00-$45.00 per hour
