Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in operating various machines and precision measurement tools for the production of high-quality components. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blue prints, charts, and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations;
- Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and layout work pieces;
- Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled CNC tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, planning, drilling, precision grinding and other operations;
- Fit and assemble machined metal/composite parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools;
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments;
- Set up and program CNC machine with MasterCam;
- Handling of large components according to safe practices, overhead crane and/or forklift;
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports;
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols;
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery and tools.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and operation.
- Basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring devices is essential.

Pay: $26.60-$38.00 per hour
