We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The Registered Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, patient education, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive oral healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Assist in the diagnosis of oral health issues by recording findings accurately
- Provide patient comfort and support throughout procedures
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure infection control standards are met
- Manage patient records efficiently using Dentrix or similar dental management software
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and excellent patient experience
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry is beneficial
