Job description
British Banger Company Inc are looking to recruit a qualified butcher to join our growing business.
Applicants must hold a certification in butchery, this must have been obtained from a Canadian learning institute and proof of qualification must be provided. Ideally a letter of reference from the institute should accompany the certification.
The job involves:
Cleaning, cutting and preparing meat for retail sale
Breaking down carcasses (if required)
Tying roasts
Making sausage and specialist sausage
Using hand tools and power tools
Identifying various cuts of meat
Making other products as directed
Advising customers of cooking methods for cuts of meat
Creating value added products
Managing the butchery area
Serving customers and handling money
The ideal candidate will have experience working in previous customer service roles and possible supervision experience.
The candidate must hold a valid driving licence and be confident driving long distance when unaccompanied in various weather conditions, if required.
The candidate must be well spoken in English.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
