We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team and support the performance, reliability, and safety of our fleet and heavy equipment operations.
This role is ideal for a hands-on mechanic who takes pride in diagnosing issues, performing quality repairs, and keeping equipment operating at peak performance in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on diesel engines, heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues efficiently
- Complete repairs on engines, braking systems, suspensions, transmissions, and other components
Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Identify equipment failures and determine root causes
- Perform emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance
Inspections & Safety
- Conduct equipment inspections and maintain maintenance records
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Collaboration & Support
- Coordinate with operations, transportation, and maintenance teams to prioritize repairs and equipment availability
- Communicate equipment concerns and maintenance recommendations effectively
Inventory & Tools
- Maintain tools and shop equipment in proper working condition
- Assist with parts ordering and inventory tracking as required
Education & Certification
- Completion of a Diesel Mechanic, Truck & Coach Technician, or Heavy Equipment Technician program is considered an asset
- Valid mechanic license or apprenticeship registration is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license required; DZ or AZ license is considered an asset
Experience
- Experience working on diesel engines, heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and/or heavy equipment
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial, or transportation environments is preferred
