Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and craftsmanship, with the ability to create high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces. This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading, power tools, and hand tools, as well as a strong understanding of construction techniques.
Duties
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Build, fabricate, and restore cabinets and furniture using various materials such as wood, laminate, and composites.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete projects.
- Collaborate with clients to discuss design
- Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Conduct construction estimating to provide accurate project timelines and material costs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in additional tasks such as electrical work, tile laying, or siding installation when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a similar woodworking role.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
- Proficiency in using power tools (e.g., saws, drills) and hand tools (e.g., chisels, sanders).
- Knowledge of construction estimating practices is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
