Job Description
We are currently seeking a Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic (Heavy Equipment Technician) to join our growing team in Alberta. The ideal candidate must hold valid Alberta certification and be authorized to perform provincial inspections in compliance with local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Conduct CVIP and other provincial inspections (as certified)
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Ensure all work meets Alberta safety and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate service and inspection records
- Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Valid Alberta Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) certification
- Authorized to perform CVIP inspections (required)
- Proven experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of Alberta provincial safety standards
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience performing government/provincial inspections
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
