Phillips Bros Excavating, a family owned and operated company, has been proudly serving the construction industry for over 30 years. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder / Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and shape metal materials using saws, torches, shears, and other hand or power tools.
- Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) to join or repair metal parts.
- Ability to weld/fabricate and design a variety of components associated with our equipment (i.e. upfitting and remounting chassis equipment).
- Use metal brakes, shears and other similar equipment.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet design and quality standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or welding training preferred.
- Experience working on heavy equipment would be an asset.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding.
- Strong knowledge of metal types, welding techniques with fitting structural steel shapes, plate work and custom fabrication
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).
