Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, marinating, and organizing ingredients for daily menu items.
- Cook dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Support the team during busy service hours by ensuring timely meal preparation and plating.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols to keep the kitchen clean and safe for everyone.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating supplies, and reporting shortages or issues.
- Maintain a clean workstation throughout shifts, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent food service for guests.
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- Familiarity with food handling safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is essential.
- Strong attention to detail when preparing ingredients and cooking dishes.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and support a positive kitchen atmosphere.
