Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires excellent communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. Bilingual skills in English and French are highly desirable to support diverse student needs. The Early Childhood Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, families, and specialists to ensure each child's individual growth and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, exploration, and learning.
- Monitor and assess children's developmental progress, adjusting activities as needed.
- Engage children in educational activities that promote language development, social skills, and creativity.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and behavioral concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and other documentation required by the program.
- Collaborate with specialists in special education or working with children with disabilities to support inclusive learning environments.
- Utilize computer skills for record-keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes.
- Manage classroom organization efficiently to ensure safety and smooth daily operations.
- Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with licensing regulations and best practices.

Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in early childhood settings is preferred.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable to serve diverse populations effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, and team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Leadership qualities including the ability to guide children positively and collaborate within a team setting.

Pay: $15.00-$19.00 per hour
