Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Trailer Driver/Sidewalk Installer to join our team. This role involves transporting materials and installing sidewalks with precision and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, landscaping, or related fields, with a strong focus on mechanical knowledge and the use of hand and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance community infrastructure and landscape aesthetics.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trailers to transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to various job sites.
- Install sidewalks according to project specifications, ensuring proper alignment and durability.
- Use hand tools and power tools for excavation, cutting, leveling, and finishing sidewalk surfaces.
- Assist with site preparation, including excavation and grading using excavators or other machinery as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and tools to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Support landscape maintenance tasks such as gardening, irrigation setup, and horticultural work when required.
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction, mechanical operation, and site management.
Qualifications
- MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE 75 LBS ATLEAST AND DRIVER A HAULING TRAILER
- Prior experience in construction, landscape maintenance, or related fields is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators are advantageous.
- Ability to operate trailers safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required; experience operating heavy machinery is beneficial.
- Construction experience or background in landscaping enhances suitability for this role.
SHIFT TIMING: 6 AM WITH POSSIBLE OT
