Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Perform account reconciliations including bank reconciliation to ensure data accuracy
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting tasks
- Support budgeting activities and provide financial reports as needed
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Prepare documentation for audits and assist in audit processes when required
- Maintain organized filing systems for all financial documents
Requirements
- Proven experience with bookkeeping and accounting practices
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently
- Basic understanding of budgeting principles
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently in a part-time capacity
- Prior experience in account reconciliation and account analysis is preferred
