Job description:
About Manzer Environmental
A leader in environmental asset management and industrial services, Manzer Environmental is a 100% Indigenous-owned company headquartered in Peace River, Alberta. Founded in 2014 and proudly serving Northern Alberta and Northeastern BC, Manzer has grown from a single-unit operation into a full-service, multi-division environmental solutions provider.
Our Industrial Services Division operates cutting-edge robotics and specialized turnaround equipment focused on zero-entry tank cleaning and industrial cleaning across the region. We take pride in maintaining a top-rated safety culture and a fleet of new, well-maintained equipment that reflects the standard we hold ourselves and our team to.
The Opportunity
Manzer Environmental is currently accepting resumes for Class 1 and Class 3 Operators to join our team in Peace River, AB. Operators in this role work across our fluid disposal and industrial cleaning service lines — the mix of day-to-day work will vary based on operational needs. This is a hands-on position that requires active physical participation alongside driving. Experience is an asset, though training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle & Equipment Operation
- Safely operate Class 1 and/or Class 3 licensed vehicles including Semi-Vac, Hydro Vac, Combo Vac, and Pressure Truck units.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of all assigned vehicles and ancillary equipment; report defects or maintenance needs to dispatch promptly.
- Maintain assigned units to a high standard inside and out — Manzer invests in new Kenworth and Peterbilt equipment and expects operators to take the same pride in their units.
Fluid Disposal
- Transport and dispose of produced fluids, waste water, and recovered product in compliance with regulatory requirements and client specifications.
- Load fluid independently using onboard Bowie pumps where required; operate TC407-certified units for TDG product when applicable.
- Set up and break down hoses, fittings, and ancillary equipment at each job site; perform all associated ground-level tasks throughout the job.
- Execute disposal runs across NE BC and Alberta, including remote well sites, production facilities, and industrial locations.
Industrial Cleaning
- Perform hands-on industrial cleaning work including high-pressure washing, hydro vacuuming, and tank and vessel cleaning — operators are expected to be actively working out of the truck, not cab-only.
- Assist with the setup, positioning, and monitoring of Manzer’s AI robotic water cannon and high-pressure vessel cleaning tools.
- Support Confined Space Entry (CSE) cleaning operations in accordance with all applicable safe work procedures.
- Handle hoses, lances, nozzles, and high-pressure equipment safely in close proximity to tanks, vessels, and processing infrastructure.
- Assist with site preparation, containment setup, and post-job cleanup as required by the scope of work.
Safety & Compliance
- Work in full compliance with Manzer’s safety management system, all applicable OHS regulations, and client site-specific requirements.
- Participate in tailgate meetings, field-level hazard assessments, and incident reporting as required.
- Follow all H2S protocols, confined space procedures, PPE requirements, and TDG regulations relevant to the work being performed.
- Complete and pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol (D&A) testing and adhere to Manzer’s D&A policy throughout employment.
Required
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Alberta driver’s licence (or equivalent) in good standing.
- Physically capable of performing demanding manual labour in all weather and field conditions, including lifting, carrying equipment, and extended time on foot.
- Comfortable working in and around industrial environments including tanks, vessels, well sites, and processing facilities.
- Strong commitment to personal and worksite safety.
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a crew.
- Willingness to travel and stay out of town as required by operational needs.
- Must be willing to participate in and pass pre-employment D&A testing.
Assets
- H2S Alive certification
- Standard First Aid / CPR certification
- Previous experience with Semi-Vac, Hydro Vac, Combo Vac, and/or Pressure Truck units.
- Background in fluid disposal, industrial cleaning, or oilfield services in Northern Alberta or BC.
- Familiarity with TDG regulations and TC407 certified unit operations.
- Confined Space Entry awareness or training.
We offer:
- Negotiable, Flexible scheduling (i.e., 10 on / 4 off OR 2 weeks on / 1 week off OR regular hours, etc.)
- Free accommodation if you're an out of town employee

- In‑town and out‑of‑town work opportunities
- A strong pay and benefits program
