Load Research Analyst 2

Annual salary: $ 86,000.00 - 92,600.00
What you'll do
- Performs the same duties of the Load Research Analyst 1 job.
- Provides technical advice and guidance to lower level staff, particularly with regard to Statistical Analytical System (SAS)
computer software programming, data mining and statistical modelling.
- Transfers Transmission Account substation and feeder load forecasts to the Distribution Load Shape Report Model on a
weekly basis and maintains the programming, model, process and data necessary to facilitate transfer of data.
- Provides data maintenance support for on-line web applications including uploading the data into a SQL database and
ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Occasionally leads analytical cross-functional research projects to address particular business needs presented by client
groups by eliciting specific requirements from clients, mining the useful data for analytics, performing the analysis,
consolidating the findings, delivering the results to clients and incorporating feedback into the analysis.
- Participates with senior team members in team analytical discussions by contributing knowledge and experience in
specific areas of expertise in order to inform decisions around the direction, methodologies and efforts of the group.
- Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties that do not affect the rating of the job.
What you bring
- University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or equivalent experience, training
and education; plus four (4) years’ experience as a Load Research Analyst 1 or in a similar data gathering, research,
analytical support role involved in economic studies, load research and forecasting, during which two (2) years of
experience working with Statistical Analysis System (SAS) and four (4) years of experience working with SQL has been
gained.
- Requires in-house training in Electrical Utility Fundamentals; or must enroll in in-house training within six (6) months of
starting in the job.
