We are seeking a full-time Sales Assistant to join our Vancouver Sales Team.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Assistant plays an integral role in supporting our sales operations by processing customer orders, coordinating with internal departments, and providing administrative and analytical support to the sales team. Working in the fast-paced fresh produce industry, this role requires sound judgment, exceptional attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while ensuring customers receive outstanding service.
What You'll Do:
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, including order entry, verification, returns, credits, and order adjustments.
- Coordinate with the Shipping team to ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on schedule.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, inventory availability, pricing, and deliveries while providing exceptional customer service.
- Support the Sales team by preparing quotations, sales presentations, reports, and daily product availability ("push list") packages, including product photos.
- Assist with inventory activities by photographing products, allocating inventory for customers, verifying inventory accuracy, and performing occasional product quality checks.
- Gather and compile market intelligence, including competitor pricing and retail trends, to support the Sales team.
- Provide administrative support, assist with special projects, and collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Sales team.
What You'll Bring:
- Diploma or certificate in Business Administration, or a minimum of one year of experience in an administrative, customer service, or sales support role.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and numerical skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service focus and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Experience in the fresh produce, food service, wholesale, distribution, or other fast-paced environment is considered an asset.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
- A positive, dependable, and self-motivated team player who takes ownership of responsibilities and consistently follows through.
