Quality Systems Coordinator
Job Summary: We are hiring a Quality Systems Coordinator to work with our steel distribution client in Ingersoll! In this role, you will support and coordinate all aspects of quality management. Responsibilities include auditing processes, and products, and ensures compliance with new and existing quality standards and regulations. Assists in implementing quality management actions and provides support to projects from the planning phase to project completion.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent. 100% on-site.
Job Location: Ingersoll, ON
Compensation Structure: $64,000 - $96,7000 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
· Ensures compliance with current regulations, QMS and customer-specific requirements
· Monitors and reports on all quality activities, processes, and procedures. Assists with the development of company policies, processes, and procedures.
· Performs regular layered process audits and internal QMS audits, to ensure employees adhere to quality and safety policies.
· Prepares and maintains quality management documentation and performance reports Establishes annual audit schedule, defines areas to be audited and communicates plan to management.
· Ensures that Quality Manual is kept up-to-date. Updates others in the use of the Quality Management System and maintains compliance standard.
· Develops, conducts and assists with internal and external audits, when necessary, issuing corrective actions and determining what major or minor non-conformances have been found and proper responses obtained.
· Conducts, when necessary, Manufacturing System Assessments, which are required as part of Supplier Quality Management process Provides departments with quality planning and PPAP support.
· Manage quality responsibilities for supplier change, customer part engineering change, and process change Executes all IMDS (International Material Data System) requirements for divisional customers, and other quality related customer requests (Supplier/QMS Surveys).
· Supports contingency planning activity and emergency outsourcing. Support the internal sharing and adopting of best practices identified, technology enhancements and 5S requirements Ensure measuring and test equipment are calibrated and working correctly; coordinate GR&R process, and data collection for process capability reports; support the creation of Metal Specification Standards and verification of purchased products.

· Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word
· Demonstrated willingness to learn, apply, and take ownership of Quality Management Systems
· Knowledge of metallurgy and material properties, with a willingness to develop this knowledge in a manufacturing environment
· Associate degree or equivalence in work experience.
· 2+ years of experience working with quality systems
· Knowledge of QS, IATF, & VDA considered an asset
