EMU School Age Centre Inc., located in École Margaret-Underhill in Transcona, is hiring a Child Care Assistant (CCA) on a term for inclusion support starting immediately. This position is available due to inclusion support funding and will exist as long as funding continues.
The hours are:
Part time 2:45pm - 6:00pm Monday through Friday and;
Full-time, 8:30am - 5:30pm, on all RETSD/EMU in-services and breaks, including over the spring, winter, and summer breaks.
Additional hours may be available on an on-call basis during the school year, depending on the needs of the centre.
Eligible candidates must have/be:
- good written and verbal communication skills
- reliable, punctual, highly motivated and flexible
- open to learning about child care practices
- display a high level of professionalism
- able to work independently and in collaboration with other staff
- nurturing and caring
All successful candidates will be required to obtain:
- a CCA classification from province of Manitoba
- a Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Search certificate
- Child Abuse Registry Check
- first aid and CPR level C
- Accessibility training
- Commit 2 kids training
- an eligible 40-hour child care training course (completed within the first year of employment)
