Job Summary
As an Industrial Millwright at Nanz Pharma you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment used in pharmaceutical production. The role ensures that production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with GMP and OSHA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical issues and perform corrective repairs on equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, and tablet presses.
- Installation & Setup: Assemble, align, and install production equipment according to engineering specifications and safety standards.
- Mechanical Repairs: Dismantle and repair mechanical components, replace worn parts, and reassemble machines with precision.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow GMP, OSHA, and LOTO procedures during all tasks. Ensure that all maintenance work is documented and audit-ready.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed maintenance logs, inspection reports, and equipment records.
- Tool & Parts Management: Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and tools, and request reorders as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and quality teams to support continuous improvement and resolve equipment issues quickly.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Industrial Millwright apprenticeship program.
- License: Valid Industrial Millwright (433A) license in Ontario is required.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the pharmaceutical or food manufacturing sectors.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with GMP, OSHA, LOTO, and WHMIS standards.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods.
Additional Assets
- Experience working in cleanroom environments
- Basic electrical knowledge or dual ticket (Millwright/Electrician)
- CMMS system experience (e.g., SAP, Maximo)
