We're is seeking experienced Mechanical Wind Technicians to support corrective maintenance and remediation activities on operating wind turbines in Quebec, on a short term contract with possibility of extension.
This position involves physically demanding mechanical work, focused primarily on replacement of tower flange studs, blade studs, and other major bolted connections. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights, operating in remote environments, and working extended schedules.
Experience with major component replacement, torque and tensioning applications, and hydraulic tensioning systems is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform tower flange stud replacement activities
- Execute blade stud and bolted connection replacement work
- Support blade replacement operations
- Perform mechanical inspections and corrective maintenance
- Operate hydraulic torqueing and tensioning equipment
- Assist crane and major component activities when required
- Complete all required documentation and quality records
- Follow safety procedures and industry best practices
- Maintain tools and equipment in accordance with site requirements
Qualifications Required
- Mechanical Technician, Millwright, or Wind Technician background
- Experience performing heavy mechanical maintenance
- Ability to work at heights
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Experience working extended rotations in remote environments
