Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various welding techniques and possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and blueprint reading. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and safety in mind. Candidates with experience in construction, ductwork, or machining are encouraged to apply. All welders will be paid for their work, ensuring compliance with employment standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal parts and structures according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Operate and set up welding equipment, including plasma cutters and press brake machines
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to achieve precise welds and assemblies
- Rigging materials and components as needed for fabrication or installation processes
- Assist with machining tasks when required, including using basic math skills for measurements
- Conduct quality inspections of welds and finished products to meet safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper equipment maintenance
- Collaborate with team members on assembly, construction projects, or ductwork installations
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding and TIG welding techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, assembly, and construction processes
- Experience with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and schematics interpretation
- Ability to operate machinery such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, and power tools
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, calipers, hand tools, and basic math for measurements
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including ductwork installation and construction experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding, machining, and heavy equipment operation
